THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA SYSTEMS

Homeland Safety Systems, Inc. is diligently working to keep our communities safe.  Our newest release of the Thermal Imaging Camera System will give you the ability to monitor and detect elevated body temperatures of many individuals at a time.  This system could potentially identify feverish individuals to limit their exposure to others in your facilities.

USA Assembled

All of our central thermal monitoring servers are designed, assembled, and tested in our corporate office hometown- Shreveport, LA

Extensive Testing

We have performed extensive testing to determine the best way to move subjects in and out of the facilities we protect and provide professional installation & training with each system we set up.

Proven Experience

For nearly 20 years, we have been leaders in the design & manufacturing of electronic surveillance equipment across the Southern region.

Fully Integrated Thermal Camera Solutions

Maximizing the Safety of Louisiana, Arkansas & Mississippi Facilities

Our elevated body temperature camera systems will not just be a one size fits all solution. They will be designed as a one-on-one system and will require the same level of engineering, professional installation and setup as all of our equipment.  These thermal cameras will fully integrate with our surveillance and access control systems, providing you with an additional layer of protection and a complete security solution.

Detection At A Distance

Detecting an individuals temperature from a distance helps to avoid close contact and reduces the risk of infection. The person in charge of managing the thermal camera system is not required to be physically near the person being evaluated. In fact, the person managing the system can be in a completely different room.

Smarter Tracking with AI Technology

Powered by our facial detection software, the thermal imaging camera system can automatically focus on the individuals face and sound an alarm when an elevated body temperature is identified.

This technology makes the imaging system an all-around easy-to-use tool and allows us to get the best core temperature readings based on passive movement capture temperatures.

Improved Accuracy

Although the thermal imaging camera is not a cure for all things, there are several additional factors that contribute to the accuracy of the system.

Black Body Calibration Tool

The black body calibration tool consists of an object whose temperature is precisely known and controlled. This is specifically important in the human temperature measurement where an accuracy of ±0.54° Fahrenheit is advised by many international standards. While only a small part of the system, the black body calibration device  will make it easier to establish accurate and reliable temperature readings.

Proper Setup and Operation

In order to accurately measure surface skin temperature, it is important to make sure that the thermal imaging system is setup properly and located in a controlled environment. Temperature fluctuations and changes in air flow can cause discrepancies in readings. It is also advised to keep away from strong lighting, direct sunlight, and reflective backgrounds such as glass & mirrors.

The accuracy of these systems will also depend on the preparation of both the person operating the system & the person being evaluated.

Individual Screening vs. Mass Screening

It is not recommended to use thermal cameras for “Mass Fever Screening” and has not been shown to be as effective when screening multiple people for an elevated body temperature at the same time in comparison to individual, stationary screening.  This will require the person to be positioned at a fixed distance from the system with their full face in the calibrated black box.

Although our system is a passive-moving elevated body temperature screening device and can measure multiple person’s surface skin at a time, we still suggest performing fever screenings one at a time for the most accurate result.
