Job Description

Our company is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who will thrive in an active and fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will be responsible for keeping contact with existing customers, initiating contact with potential prospects, and identifying new opportunities and leads. This position will also require the monitoring of the constantly changing industry trends in order to report any emerging markets and formulate plans to use those markets to maximize revenue.

This position is located in our corporate office in Shreveport, Louisiana.


  • Manage the full sales life cycle to ensure that each project is kept organized and flows smoothly

  • Utilize Pipedrive CRM for all leads and continual updates throughout the sales process

  • Conduct research into potential new clients to develop effective sales strategies in preparation for initial engagement

  • Establish initial contact with prospective customers and takes responsibility in developing new business opportunities

  • Maintain existing accounts

  • Create and present sales proposals, facility drawings, and other project documents to customers

  • Sustain a thorough knowledge of past and current account histories and statuses

  • Facilitate a high-profile presence in the marketplace through the development of long-term client relationships/partnerships

  • Represent the company in a professional manner by increasing and strengthening client relationships

  • Follow-up with customers after the installation process to assure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals.

  • Build and maintain positive rapport with customers

  • Thoroughly document all contact made with customers including compiling activity in Daily Project Reports

  • Manage travel, meetings, and site visits while remaining up to date with all necessary and required office work and responsibilities

  • Cultivate a curiosity and passion for the security industry and the work that we do within schools, prisons, etc.

  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of HSS products and knowledge of the security industry including trends and potential impact on clients. Apply product and industry knowledge to drive sales and serve customer needs

  • Travel within sales territory to meet with prospects and customers and conduct walkthroughs of new facilities

  • Attend trade shows with other members of the technical and sales team as requested

  • Assist in the set-up/break-down of the demo display for the trade show as needed

  • Develop an effective, productive, and respect-based working relationship with the Senior Sales Coordinator and the rest of the Sales team


  • Clean background

  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain industry licenses and security clearance

  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens (Required by State Law)

  • Previous sales experience – Minimum of 3 years (Experience in Security Sales or P25 Radio Sales preferred)

  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR)

  • Must be willing and able to travel on a weekly basis

  • Stable employment history

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and use large database systems

  • Ability to develop leads as well as work with leads given

  • Contribute to a continuing positive and efficient work environment
